Judge Mary Ann Gunn
Biography
Judge Mary Ann Gunn is a founding partner of Gunn Kieklak Dennis, LLP and focuses her practice on every aspect of domestic relations. A resident of Fayetteville, Judge Mary Ann Gunn was Circuit Court Judge for the Fourth Division of District Four in Washington and Madison Counties for thirteen years. During this time, Judge Gunn maintained full civil and criminal dockets, and she also presided over the first Washington and Madison County Drug Court.
Prior to being elected to the bench in 1998, Judge Gunn conducted a private law practice in Fayetteville for 17 years, focusing primarily on domestic relations. In 2011, Judge Gunn retired from the bench to practice law and to bring her Drug Court program to a national television audience. “Last Shot with Judge Gunn” premiered September 26, 2011, and in June 2012, the show took home the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program. Since that time, Judge Gunn has continued her law practice as partner of The Gunn Firm, LLC and most recently as founding member of Gunn, Kieklak Dennis LLP.
Judge Gunn is the recipient of numerous other awards for her work in legal practice and her work on the bench. She has been honored by the United States House of Representatives, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Association of Drug Court Professionals and the Girl Scouts of America, among many others.
